"i ate all your bees!"
the story of a very odd couple running a bookshop somewhere in london. dylan moran is brilliant as drunk store owner bernard. (who appears to have been transported into modern london from victorian times) he is kept company by his hairy manservant, manny who is played by bill bailey. completing the trio is neighbouring shop owner, fran. together they rarely leave the shop, but manage to get into lots of surreal situations.
the second season has a brilliant bit of overacting from simon pegg as the manager of 'goliath books' a waterstones type affair with coffee and muffins that opens up next door.
all in all one of the best sitcoms of all time, and both series are only eight quid. bargain.
